    The brief

Brzeznica Estate is a heritage property with a rich history - a place that offers guests something genuinely distinctive. Their website told none of that story.

The existing site had been built on a legacy CMS that was so difficult to use the client had essentially stopped updating it altogether. The design was years out of date, the navigation ran across multiple levels and confused visitors, and the homepage offered very little reason to stay. The photos - a critical asset for any hospitality property - were presented in a way that did nothing to attract guests. The history of the estate, which is the place's strongest selling point, was buried or absent entirely.

The gap between what Brzeznica Estate offered and what its website communicated was significant.

    The challenge

A heritage hotel with rich history struggled to convey their unique character and premium experience through their digital presence.

    • That last point turned out to be the most important one.

    What we built

An image-led redesign built around the character of the place

The previous site felt generic. The new one needed to feel like Brzeznica Estate specifically - its atmosphere, its history, its appeal to different types of visitors. We made photography central to the layout, with visuals doing the work of drawing people in before a word is read.

The client had no professional photography and didn't want to commission a shoot. We worked with images sourced from their social media, selecting and presenting them in a way that gave the site a visual quality the old one completely lacked.

    A dedicated history page

The history of the estate is the thing that makes it unlike anywhere else. We built a dedicated page for it - not a paragraph tucked into an About section, but a proper page that gives that story the space it deserves. For guests who are choosing between properties, this is the page that tips the decision.

Navigation restructured around how visitors actually think

Guests arriving at a heritage estate are not all there for the same reason. Some are looking for a holiday. Some want to hire a venue for a wedding or corporate event. The old navigation made no distinction between these journeys - visitors had to work out for themselves where to go.

We restructured the navigation to reflect these two distinct visitor types, making it immediately clear which direction each person should take.

    A dedicated wedding landing page

Weddings are the single biggest revenue stream for the estate. The old site gave them no dedicated space. We built a landing page specifically for wedding enquiries - designed to speak to couples, present the venue at its best, and make it easy to get in touch.

A contact form that actually converted

Getting in touch with the estate was harder than it needed to be. We added a straightforward contact form to remove that friction.

Hosting and domain review - money saved, not just spent

This is the part of the project that often goes unnoticed but matters as much as anything visible. We reviewed the existing hosting arrangement and found the client was paying significantly over the odds - including being charged separately for a security certificate, which is a basic feature that should be included as standard.

We migrated to a better hosting setup, secured the domain registration properly, and reduced the client's ongoing costs in the process. The website improved and the bills went down.

    The result

Brzeznica Estate now has a website that reflects the quality and character of the place. Visitors can understand what the estate offers, who it's for, and why it's worth choosing - and they can find that information without effort. The wedding landing page gives the most commercially important part of the business its own dedicated presence. And the client is no longer paying for a hosting arrangement that was costing more than it should.

Sometimes the most valuable work isn't the part visitors see. The hosting audit wasn't glamorous. But saving a client money on their infrastructure while improving everything visible is what a proper tech partner does.
